„On Kudla's Green functions in the non-compact case“

For some non-compact O(2,n) Shimura varieties the Green functions proposed by Kudla in his conjectures for arithmetic generating series won't be Green functions in any reasonable arithmetic intersection theory. In this talk a suitable modification of Kudla's Green functions, which is compatible to the recent alternative proof of the Hirzebruch-Zagier theorem of Funke and Millson, will be presented. We discuss some of the consequences of this modification for these amazing conjectures.
