PIA 2010: The arithmetic of fundamental groups

In der Woche vom 8-12. Februar 2010 findet am Mathematischen Institut die MATCH-Konferenz PIA 2010 statt, welche von Jakob Stix (MATCH) organisiert wird. Vorbereitend zur Konferenz halten ab dem 28. Januar 2010 Prof. T. Szamuely (Rényi Insitute, Budapest) und Prof. A. Besser (Ben Gurion University, Be'er Sheva) Vortragsreihen mit dem Titel "Arithmetik und Fundamentalgruppe" sowie "An introduction to Coleman integration theory". Für weitere Informationen zu PIA 2010 und den vorbereitenden Vortragsreihen von Prof. T. Szamuely und Prof. A. Besser wird auf die homepage von PIA 2010 verwiesen.

PIA 2010: The arithmetic of fundamental groups

The conference PIA 2010 will cover different approaches to the arithmetic of fundamental groups that have been successful recently and remain promising in the focus of current and future developments. The fundamental group serves both as a non-commutative tool in the study of arithmetic algebraic spaces and as an object of study of its own.
