„On a Conjecture of Colliot-Thelene“
Prof. Dr. Florian Pop, University of Pensylvania

The Conjecture of Colliot-Thelene (2008) under discussion, for short CCT, is about sufficient conditions on a morphism of projective smooth varieties over a number field k to be "arithmetically surjective" (a.s.), i.e., to be surjective on the k_v rational points for almost all localizations k_v of k. CCT was proved by Denef (2019) in a sharper form, and Loughran, korobogatov, Smeets (2020) gave equivalent condition on a morphism to be a.c. I will explain all the terms and the previous results and indicate how one can generalize the above results in several directions; in particular show the (the generalized) a.c. is equivalent to completely birational conditions on the morphism. Time permitting, I will also comment on the positive characteristic case, which is open.
