„Symplectic size of polytopes“
Pazit Haim Kislev, Tel Aviv University, Israel

RTG Kolloquium "Symplectic size of polytopes" Frau Pazit Haim Kislev, Tel Aviv University, Israel Abstract: The subject of this talk is symplectic capacities, which are symplectic invariants not coming from volume that measure the size of sets. We will briefly discuss the surprising features these invariants have when restricting to convex domains in Euclidean space, and their connection to convex geometry. Our focus is a certain symplectic capacity that comes from Hamiltonian dynamics. We describe its behavior and calculate it for convex polytopes, and we show some applications of this calculation.
