Seminar der Forschergruppe 'Symmetrie, Geometrie und Arithmetik'

The ”generalised Kato classes” of the title are extensions of p-adic representations obtained as p-adic limits of classes obtained via a geometric construction, such as p-adic regulators of elements in higher Chow groups or p-adic étale Abel-Jacobi images of algebraic cycles. I will describe the construction of these generalised Kato classes and their applications to the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture.
