Generally, to determine the structure of the graded ring of modular forms of several variables is not easy. However, in some cases, we can determine the structure using an estimation of the dimension of the space of modular forms. One of the typical example is on Siegel modular forms of degree 2. The structure theorem of these modular forms was first given by Igusa in 1960's, and now we know many kinds of the proof of this theorem. In this talk, we will study two proofs of Igusa's theorem using estimations of the dimension of Siegel modular forms. And then I will show another examples including a (bit) new result.
