I'll describe a construction of a Lagrangian-Floer homology which assigns, to a 2-tangle decomposition of a knot in a 3-manifold, a 2-dimensional (symplectic) manifold and two immersed lagrangian submanifolds. These spaces are obtained by taking SU(2) representations of the knot and tangle complements which take meridians to traceless elements. The relation to Kronheimer-Mrowka's singular instanton homology and to Khovanov homology will be discussed. The construction will be illustrated with pictures and examples.
