We explore the topology of real Lagrangian submanifolds in $S^2\times S^2$ towards their classification. We explain why it is interesting to study real Lagrangian tori. In particular, we show that the Chekanov torus in $S^2\times S^2$ is not real, which exhibits a genuine real symplectic phenomenon in terms of involutions.
