In this talk we will recall the theory of Drinfeld modular forms. After discussing the lack of eigenforms with respect to the Hecke action, we will introduce the concept of A-expansions for Drinfeld modular forms. We will show applications of A-expansions to the study of the Hecke action by showing that all forms with A-expansions are eigenforms with eigensystems {P^n}. We will conclude by giving a conjectural recipe (due to the author and El-Guindy) for the weights for which eigenforms with eigensystem P^n occur. Many of these eigenforms do not have A-expansions, but the recipe covers these as well.
