We will define a compactification of a general analytic Drinfeld moduli space through an explicite stratification by smaller rank moduli spaces. Moreover we will describe an ample invertible sheaf on it, such that the global sections of its k-th power correspond to modular forms of weight k. Our constructions generalize work of Kapranov in the case of Drinfeld F_q[T]-modules and will form the analytification of Pink's algebraic Satake compactification.
