We will discuss our joint work with F. Pellarin on the structure of the module of deformations of vectorial Drinfeld modular forms in the simplest non-trivial case. This includes an expansion at the infinite cusp on the Drinfeld upper-half space giving finite rankedness of the modules of a given weight and type, the structure of the full module of such forms, the action of Hecke operators, and evaluations of the variable of deformation at roots of unity, which gives Drinfeld modular forms for principle congruence subgroups. Time permitting, we shall also describe the state of the theory in higher ranks, and higher dimensional directions in the rank two setting.
