In this talk we will explain our recent result with Fabrizio Andreatta and Minhyong Kim in which we show: a smooth, projective curve X of genus greater or equal to 2 over a p-adic field K has good reduction if and only if its p-adic unipotent fundamental group is crystalline, considering the action of the absolute Galois group of K on it.
