Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg
Juniorprof. Gabriele Benedetti

Welcome to my homepage!

Since April 2018, I am a Junior Professor in the symplectic workgroup at Heidelberg University. Starting September 2021 I will be an assistant professor at VU Amsterdam.

My research focuses on Hamiltonian dynamical systems and, in particular, on the existence of periodic orbits. The tools I use in my study come from the interplay of differential geometry, topology and the calculus of variation. As an example, I look at the motion of a charged particle in a magnetic field.
